Just Watch Me Video Contest

Attn: Entrepreneurs with disabilities or health conditions!  This contest is for you!  In an effort to celebrate the achievements our rural entrepreneurs, Community Futures Manitoba and Community Futures Saskatchewan are again holding this exciting contest.  To enter simply fill out the business profile at www.justwatchmecontest.ca and start working on a two to three minute video about your business.  Entries accepted between December 4th, 2017 and January 24th, 2018.  CFNCD staff can assist with entries, contact us today at 204-677-1490, 1-800-303-2232 or stop by 3 Station Road in Thompson.

Self Employment Information Session

In partnership with the joint Vale / USW Workforce Adjustment Committee and the Northern Manitoba Sector Council, CFNCD presents this info session on entrepreneurship, business idea generation, business planning steps, how to fund your business and available resources. Event is FREE to attend, take your choice of two session times - 1:00 - 3:00 pm or 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, January 22. 

Event to take place at the United Steelworkers Meeting Room, 19 Elizabeth Drive in Thompson.

Jobs of the Future Workshop

Join us for this FREE workshop at the YWCA Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm if you are interested in learning more about employment trees.  Experts predict there will be a high need for employees with skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the future. A free 5-part series workshop to help you prepare for and succeed in work, business and in life!  Part 3 & 4 to be held Tuesday, February 6th and Wednesday, February 7th respectively from 6:00 - 9:00 pm in the Pioneer Gallery, Churchill Town Complex.  Topics covered will include life skills, communication & boundaries, managing money, entrepreneurship and steps to starting a business.

Dragon's Quest Business Plan Competition

This competition is for Indigenous entrepreneurs who started a business after January 31, 2017 or that will launch before April 30, 2018.  Contest presented by Community Futures Manitoba through their Indigenous Business Service Network.  Deadline to enter is March 23rd.
